Art as communication for understanding, and understanding as a tool for peace.
The Illuminations Project is a series of flyers that I’ve been adding to over the years. The goal will be to turn these artworks into a clickable, interactive online experience. The online portion of the project will explain not only the illuminated symbol, in this case Om, but also many parts of the illustration, taking the viewer on a journey of ideas.
This is a humanitarian street art objective focused on growing understanding among people by highlighting the commonalities among them. The ideas presented draw from multiple traditions and spheres, from science to religion, philosophy, and myth. What follows is a work of heart; not a scholarly work, or one with the intent of indoctrination. I hope you enjoy.
